Lab Panels for Men

DW1 Men's Health

The lab panels listed here represent the most commonly utilized testing options and pricing at DW1 Men's Health and Alive & Well. Many lab markers are significantly less expensive when included within a panel compared to ordering individually, especially with advanced hormone and optimization-focused testing.

If you do not see a specific lab you need, or would like help choosing the right testing for your symptoms or goals, please contact us directly. We are happy to help customize lab options to fit your individual needs.

A great deal of effort has gone into making these labs more affordable for our patients. In many cases, pricing is significantly less expensive than other local options, including LabCorp and local hospital systems.

Our goal is simple - we do not want the cost of laboratory testing to become a barrier to improving your health, hormones, metabolism, and long-term wellness.

  • CBC
  • CMP
  • Fasting Lipid
  • DHEA-S
  • TSH
  • Free T3

  • Vitamin D

A strong foundation for advanced men's health and hormone optimization. This panel evaluates many of the most important systems affecting energy, strength, recovery, metabolism, focus, libido, and long-term wellness - all from one blood draw.

This panel works well for many men beginning or continuing hormone optimization therapy, but despite the name, it is not necessarily "fully comprehensive" for every patient or every situation. At DW1 Men's Health, lab testing is individualized. Every patient receives recommendations tailored to their symptoms, health history, current stage of optimization, and treatment goals. Additional testing may be recommended depending on your needs, response to therapy, age, performance goals, metabolic health, cardiovascular risk factors, or other clinical findings.

Includes evaluation of:

  • Testosterone and hormone balance
  • Thyroid function
  • Cholesterol and cardiovascular markers
  • Blood sugar and metabolic health
  • Vitamin D and B12 status
  • Prostate screening
  • Liver, kidney, and overall organ function

Because true optimization is not one-size-fits-all.

Male Hormone Follow-Up Panel - $140

Included Lab Markers:

  • Vitamin D

A streamlined follow-up panel designed for men whose broader health markers have already been stable and optimized over time. This panel focuses primarily on hormone levels, thyroid function, blood sugar trends, and key vitamin markers.

This panel is used less frequently because successful hormone optimization is not judged by testosterone numbers alone. In many cases, the most meaningful improvements are seen in the real-world outcomes and downstream metabolic markers - including improvements in blood sugar control, Hemoglobin A1c, cholesterol patterns, energy, recovery, body composition, sleep, and overall quality of life.

At DW1 Men's Health, treatment decisions are based on the full clinical picture - symptoms, performance, wellness, metabolic health, and long-term outcomes - not simply chasing laboratory numbers.

Includes evaluation of:

  • Testosterone and free testosterone
  • SHBG and hormone-binding status
  • Thyroid function
  • Hemoglobin A1c and metabolic trends
  • DHEA-S
  • Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D status

Optimization is about how you function, not just what a number says on paper.

An advanced diagnostic panel designed for deeper investigation and higher-level problem solving in men's hormone optimization. This panel is often used when standard TRT protocols are not producing the expected results, symptoms are not fully resolving, or a more complete evaluation is needed to uncover contributing factors that are commonly missed.

This is a more thorough "under the hood" evaluation that expands beyond basic testosterone testing to assess thyroid function, inflammation, metabolic health, recovery physiology, iron status, stress response, and additional hormone pathways that can significantly affect how a patient feels and responds to treatment.

For some men, optimizing testosterone alone is not enough. Persistent fatigue, brain fog, poor recovery, low motivation, stubborn body composition changes, sleep disruption, libido issues, or inconsistent treatment response may point toward additional root causes that require a broader and more advanced workup.

This panel provides a deeper dive into:

  • Advanced thyroid function and thyroid antibodies
  • Hormone balance and downstream hormone pathways
  • Sensitive estradiol evaluation
  • Insulin resistance and metabolic health
  • Inflammation and cardiovascular risk markers
  • Stress response and cortisol patterns
  • Iron status and nutrient evaluation
  • Recovery, growth, and performance physiology

At DW1 Men's Health, the goal is not simply to "raise testosterone." The goal is to identify barriers to optimization and create a treatment plan that addresses the complete picture of health and performance.

The most advanced and comprehensive male optimization panel offered at DW1 Men's Health. Designed for men who want the deepest possible evaluation of hormones, metabolism, cardiovascular risk, recovery physiology, inflammation, nutrient status, thyroid function, and long-term health optimization.

This panel is ideal for patients who:

  • Want the most complete baseline evaluation possible
  • Have complex or unresolved symptoms
  • Have not responded well to previous TRT or hormone protocols
  • Want a detailed assessment before beginning optimization
  • Prefer a proactive and data-driven approach to long-term health and performance

The "Male Everything Panel" is not necessarily every single laboratory marker that can be drawn for your health, however it significantly expands beyond standard testing and builds upon the advanced "Dave Lee Panel" by adding a deeper dive into cardiovascular risk assessment, metabolic health, nutrient status, and additional optimization markers.

This expanded cardiovascular evaluation helps provide a clearer picture of underlying cardiovascular risk factors and gives another meaningful way to measure the effectiveness of hormone optimization over time - not simply by changes in testosterone levels, but by improvements in broader metabolic and cardiovascular health markers.

This panel also highlights additional vitamins, nutrients, inflammation markers, recovery physiology, and advanced health optimization factors that are often overlooked in traditional medical evaluations.

This is far beyond a "basic testosterone test." Many men discover that low energy, brain fog, poor recovery, stubborn weight gain, low libido, sleep disruption, or inconsistent treatment response involve multiple overlapping systems - not testosterone alone.

The Male Everything Panel is designed to uncover hidden barriers to optimization and provide a true full-body overview of performance physiology and long-term wellness.

Includes advanced evaluation of:

  • Testosterone and complete hormone pathways
  • Pituitary signaling and natural hormone production
  • Advanced thyroid function and thyroid antibodies
  • Sensitive estradiol analysis
  • Cardiovascular and metabolic risk markers
  • Inflammation and recovery physiology
  • Kidney and liver health
  • Insulin resistance and blood sugar control
  • Iron status and nutrient deficiencies
  • Growth, repair, and performance markers
  • Cardiovascular particle risk markers including ApoB
  • Cellular magnesium and methylation markers

This panel is often chosen by men who want to stop guessing, investigate root causes thoroughly, and build a smarter long-term optimization strategy. Because high-level performance starts with high-level information.

Pre-Treatment Hypogonadism Evaluation with Male Comprehensive - $250

Included Lab Markers:

  • FSH
  • LH
  • Estradiol LC/MS
  • Prolactin
  • CBC
  • CMP
  • Fasting Lipid
  • DHEA-S
  • TSH
  • Free T3
  • Free T4
  • HgbA1c
  • PSA total
  • PSA free
  • Testosterone total
  • Free Testosterone
  • SHBG
  • Albumin
  • Vitamin B12
  • Vitamin D

A comprehensive starting point for men evaluating possible low testosterone (hypogonadism) before beginning hormone optimization or TRT treatment. This panel combines the foundational "Male Comprehensive Panel" with additional hormone testing that helps evaluate how and why testosterone production may be affected.

This panel is specifically designed for men who are not currently on testosterone therapy and need to determine whether their low testosterone pattern appears more consistent with:

  • Primary hypogonadism - where the testes themselves are not functioning optimally or
  • Secondary hypogonadism - where the issue may involve signaling from the hypothalamus or pituitary gland within the HPTA (Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Testicular Axis).

Understanding this distinction can be extremely helpful when evaluating treatment approaches and discussing options such as:

  • Clomiphene (Clomid)
  • Enclomiphene
  • Traditional testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)
  • Fertility-preserving strategies
  • Other optimization approaches

This evaluation is designed to look beyond simply identifying a "low testosterone number." It helps assess hormone signaling pathways between the brain and testes, screens for common contributing factors, and establishes a strong baseline before treatment begins.

The added pituitary and hormone-regulation markers can help identify whether testosterone deficiency may be related to:

  • Testicular dysfunction
  • Pituitary signaling issues
  • Elevated prolactin levels
  • Estrogen imbalance
  • Thyroid dysfunction
  • Metabolic health factors

This panel also creates an important baseline for tracking progress and monitoring response to treatment over time.

Includes evaluation of:

  • Testosterone and free testosterone
  • FSH and LH pituitary signaling hormones
  • Sensitive estradiol analysis (LC/MS)
  • Prolactin
  • Thyroid function
  • Blood sugar and metabolic health
  • Cholesterol and cardiovascular markers
  • Prostate screening
  • Vitamin D and B12 status
  • Liver, kidney, and overall organ function

At DW1 Men's Health, treatment decisions are based on symptoms, physiology, metabolic health, and long-term outcomes - not simply whether a testosterone level falls inside a lab reference range.
